I'm Going to London Part 2

It’s official!! We booked our trip to London!( A few weeks ago we booked, but I forgot to tell you guys!) I couldn’t be more excited! Me and my friend are going to London! Can you believe it? Well, it’s still a little bit unreal for me.
It’s been a dream of me to go there and now we booked, you can read that in this blogpost (<-- click the link) when I told you guys we’re going! We’ve been looking for the cheapest options and we found one via Airb&b. (Such a good site.) And we are staying in someone’s house that has the view on the Thames! How beautiful?! We saw photos and me and my friend were like: ‘Okay, it’s probably going to be this place where we are going to stay’. And a few weeks ago we got the confirmation that we’re going to stay there for 10 days!!

After that we’ve been looking for musicals to go to, the studios of Harry Potter, museums we want to visit. And just 100 more places we want to visit. In less than two weeks we’re going and I’m so excited! We also got some ideas to write about for our study. It’s amazing and I’m looking forward going to London again. I’m already thinking about what I should be taking with me and what I really have to buy when I’m in London.

It’s a very short blogpost but I promised you guys to keep you up-to-date. So here is a little update. I think that when I’m in London I’ve got a lot more to talk about. I’m thinking about some sort of diary for when I’m there but it depends on how many free time we give ourselves.
And how much energy is left over after a whole day of walking around in London! I don't promise anything but I think it would be awesome to have a little online diary. Also I'm thinking about small updates on my instagram so keep an eye on that one too because that will be easier I think.

Cien Lip Gloss

A few weeks ago I went grocery shopping in the Lidl and when I walked to the cash register to pay, my eye fell on a very small make-up box. It was hidden between a lot of other products. The Lidl is a grocery store and I never expected them to have make-up. But sometimes they have those limited edition actions with clothes or shoes and this time it turned out they had a limited edition make-up action.

I know “Cien” for being a very cheap brand with body lotions, shampoos and shower gels. The whole grocery store is a very cheap store by the way. (Good for students :) ) And when I saw this little box it was almost empty because the lipsticks and nail varnishes were already sold out. So I grabbed these last three lip glosses and tried them out. And I can tell you: I’m not disappointed by the results. The colours I bought are: 12 glamorous night, 13 sparkling champagne and 17 sparkling mallow.

Left to Right: 12 Glamorous night, 13 Sparkling Champagne,17 Sparkling Mallow
I like the purple lip gloss 'Sparkling Mallow' the most. It's not a very shiny colour like the pink one 'Glamorous Night' is. That one is very, very shiny. The purple one is a subtle colour which I like more.
'Sparkling Champagne' is a beautiful one too but I don’t use it because I have never had a lip gloss colour like that before. Because it was so cheap I thought I could give it a try but I'm not used to the colour on my lips. I love the colour in the bottle but I don't think I'm going to use it.

In general I’m very happy about these lip glosses. I never thought they would be this good for the price I bought them. Only €2,- per lip gloss!

My 8 Struggles of Being a Student

I’m a student for almost 2 years now. The first year I lived with my uncle and aunt because I thought the step to go live on myself would be too big for me. (I was only 17 years old then.) So after living there for a year, getting used to not live with my parents, I was sure I wanted to keep going on with my study and I decided to look for a room where I could live in Ede. Lucky me, a friend of me was moving to a different place and said that I could hire her room. So now I live on an attic in a house somewhere in Ede. And now there are some struggles I have to deal with:

1. No money.
Every month I have days left over and no more money. Mostly the last two weeks of the month I’m broke. And every time I ask myself: where did the money go?? I realise I gave it out on make-up, clothes, books, going out, birthday presents for friends or just stupid things I’m probably never going to use. (I still hope that those things will be useful someday).

2. What am I going to eat today?
This is one of the hardest questions I ask myself almost every day. You forget to question this when your mom or dad is cooking for you every night. Normally you ask your mom or dad what (s)he made tonight. But now I'm the one that is going to decide what I'm going to eat.
And well, if you’re good in cooking it’s less difficult. But when you’re like me and you’re not the best cook ever it’s a little bit more difficult. And eating pizza every night isn’t the best decision ever, even though it sounds great. I just need some easy-to-make recipes for one person. (I’m still looking for a blog or something. Do you know one? Please let me know!)

3. What movie am I going to watch tonight?
This is a real life question. I mean what else should I be doing? (Homework maybe??) I’ve watched lots of movies and now it’s getting harder to find some good movies I like.

4. Slow Wi-Fi.
So annoying when I want to watch a movie and it just keeps loading because of slow Wi-Fi. -.-

5. Planning.
I’m a master when it comes to planning a homework schedule. But I lack at discipline. Sometimes when I’ve a free day in the week I’m like: oh I’m going to do all the homework that day I’ve got free. And I make a fantastic planning. But I end up doing half of it or nothing and I watch movies instead. The planning completely ‘forgotten’ of course.

6. Have no sleep in de last two weeks of the semester.
Because my planning sucks I have to stay up late to do all the homework and the study I could’ve done when I was watching series. So I make a promise that next time I will do all the work in time because I really need to sleep… (Next time it’s the exact same situation)

7. Losing everything.
I’m always looking for something. I lost a book, a reader, a file I had downloaded and saved somewhere on my laptop, clothes, keys, shoes. Everything! Every weekend I’m going home and then I’ve no idea if something is at home or in my room in Ede. Last Christmas holiday I lost my camera. I thought it was home and it wasn’t. I came to my room and it wasn’t there either. (I was convinced it was stolen!) Then a few days later I found it in my school bag. I still can’t remember why I put it there…

8. Having no idea what I'm doing.
So much is going on. So much homework, stress or whatever I'm worrying about. It’s just that I’ve no idea what I'm doing most of the time and I just pretend I know what's going on.

Do you recognise any of my struggles? Let me know in the comments!

We had to do interviews at Schiphol.
