Kiko Review

When I was in Barcelona we found a Kiko store that had amazing sales. So me, my sister and my brother’s girlfriend went inside to take a look. Of course our beauty hearts beats faster than ever because the sale was a real sale! Sometimes sale is with 2 of 3 euro’s discount. But here it was like 10 euro’s discount on things. So we bought some make-up. I bought two mascara’s, one nail polish and a pencil lip gloss.

I’ll start with the nail polish. This one is so glittery. I don’t even know the exact colour because of the many glitters in it! I think is some red colour. It is number 277.
I’ll always apply two layers of nail polish and then I think it has a good covering of my nails. Also, this nail polish stays on for one week. It started to chip off after three or four days on my ‘most used fingers’ like the thumb and index finger.  On my ring finger and little finger it stayed on perfectly. After a week they still looked fine. But I had to remove the polish for work. So I couldn’t check it out longer. I’m very happy with the colour and the results.

Next is the pencil lip gloss. This is not a lipstick nor a lip gloss. It’s an in between. I think it has the sort of same effect. It’s very covering like a lipstick. I like how easily this is too apply. It’s like drawing in the lines of my lips. Easy peasy and it looks great. I wish I bought more of these! And this is the 05.

I’m always looking for comparison when it comes to mascara’s. I believe that there is an exact version of a very expensive mascara but then cheaper with the same results. And I think I found a new one! In one of my first posts on this blog I tell you that one of my favourite mascara’s is a very cheap one. Now, I’ve found the expensive version of it. This one: the ultra tech curve mascara looks a lot like it. The wands are exactly the same and even the brush has sort of the same bow it in. So this one became automatically a favourite when I found out that it was like the other but this one is expensive. So I’d stay to the cheaper one of course because it saves me money. But when I’ve got money enough I know where to go to upgrade my mascara brand!  J

The other mascara is not the best. It’s the luxurious lashes. I don’t really like the brush. It’s way too big. I always mess up when I put on mascara because the wand goes always up against my eyelid. (When I’ve done my mascara it looks like I’ve sneezed when my lashes weren’t dry. I just can’t help it.) This brush only makes it worse. My eyes look like panda’s so black and messy that it gets. Also, I don’t like how little black my eyelashes get. (Leave the black around my eyes out of the field) I feel like I’ve to do a thousand of layers to get a good effect. And that takes time, time I don’t have. So I wouldn’t buy this mascara again. It’s not the worst though, so I’ll still use it till it’s empty. I’m not going to throw it away or let it dry out somewhere on my desk.

Soo these were my little make-uppies that I bought. Hope you liked and I’ll see you around next time!

Thursday Tips #3

Every Thursday I give you tips that I’ve heard of and tried out. I’ve always written them down somewhere and now I’m passing them on to you guys! Enjoy these three tips for today!
This week I give you a bit of motivation tips.

Tip 1

Had a Blue Monday this week? Don’t worry, sit down and accept that it didn’t work this time. But don’t give up, don’t feel like you’ve ruined it. Because tomorrow is a brand new day with brand new chances. Leave Blue Monday for what it is and start tomorrow again. Because if you really want to work on something that was your new year’s resolution you’ve got whole 2016 to full fill it! Not only those first months and the ‘Blue Monday drama’. Never give up! (Or for next year, no new years resolution means no Blue Monday ;) )

Tip 2

When you set a goal for yourself. Do it step by step. Don’t start like a maniac. Like for a school project. Make sure you make a whole plan and don’t miss any important things. Also, take a step back sometimes and look at what you’ve done. Are you still doing what you wanted? Or has your vision changed. So you can’t get lost in what you’ve been working on and get the results you wanted. Also, make it real. Don't say, I'm going to change completely. Start with small things. And then change slowly. Give yourself time to adjust to your new plans.

Tip 3

Try at least to sport/move once a week. This way you’ll stay healthy and you’ll feel better, more energetic. For me, it is that sport distresses me. When I train I forget for a little while everything I still have to do because I completely focus on the sport or the running. Maybe it’ll work for you too!

Hope I could give you a little help to get motivated in this boring month after a festive December!

Cien Lip Butter

Lip butter with colour. Who doesn’t want that? I want it! So when Liddle had their budget make-up range back in store I got myself four lip butter in the four different colours. I loved how the colours looked like and thought I would love them all four. Sadly the colour on the stick is not the colour that is on my lips. But that is also obvious. It’s a lip butter not a lipstick.

I also really like the design. It looks beautiful in the black case with the shiny letters on it. The only thing that they didn’t thought about was the see through lid. It’s all smudged with the lip butter and that doesn’t look very good. But hey, it’s not the lid I’m wearing. I wearing the colour and I just hide the butter in my bag!

The purple one and pink one are way too light. You can see my own lip colour through it very clearly. The pink one is just not matching my skin and makes me look like a pale girl. The purple one is not fully covering and that makes me looks like I’m really cold. When I’m cold I always get ‘purple’ lips. I don’t know why but it’s not very flattering and I always try to avoid it. But this lip butter makes my lips looks like I’m cold but I’m not. Not very flattering…

So those are the two baddies. There are also two goodies. The red one and orange/coral one. Those two are better and the red one is my favourite. The colour is more intense and it really makes my lips red but not too much. And it also nourishes my lips so it’s perfect. I’ve worn it the most out of all these colours.

The orange coral one is very light but it just adds that little colour to my lips that I like. Normally I’m not a big fan of orange/coral. It’s not my colour. It just doesn’t match my skin but because this colour is so light and barely visible I like that I just have that little colour on my lips. I don’t use it much but I’ve worn more times that the purple and pink once.

Red, Pink, Purple, orange/coral

In the end I’m still very happy with the results. For a price of €2,- per lip butter it’s not bad. That the other two aren’t good isn’t that much of a disaster I think. It would have been if I paid €10,- for it and and never wear it.

Thursday tips #2

Every Thursday I give you tips that I’ve heard of and tried out. I’ve always written them down somewhere and now I’m passing them on to you guys! Enjoy these three tips for today!
This week are thing you really need in your bag, to get safe through the day.

Tip 1

Always have pens in your bag. Just in case you need one. You can’t risk that you need to write something down and you can’t write anywhere. Think about phone numbers or just important things like to do stuff. Or you need them for school! Because writing in colleges is very important. I read once that people who write down notes memorize the college better than someone who’s been typing notes on the laptop. Because you can typ mindless and for writing you really have to think about what you write, or else you write down what you were about say or something like that!

Tip 2

Tampons or pads are also very important to have in your bag. You never know when you suddenly need one unexpected or that someone else has the 'bloody' problem and you can save them from a disaster!

Tip 3

A mirror. That’s so important. I mean, what if you’re going to a meeting or just sitting in class and you have some lipstick on your teeth, some foods between your teeth or a booger in your nose... Maybe you need a little touch-up on your make-up. A mirror can help you so much. It also refelct way better than your phone reflexion. The mirror will always do a better job!

What do you think is the most necessary item for in your bag? Let me know in the comments below!

Super Healthy Food

Last Thursday we had breakfast at my internship. A new year’s breakfast. And I love breadfast so I was very happy with this idea! We all had to bring something with us and I wasn't sure what I would bring. After a long long time I decided that I would buy 'duivekater'. A sort of bread but then way better, softer and tastier than normal bread. I can't really explain it but when you visit Holland come to Zaandam. That's where the bread is originally from. I bought the bread in the grocery store (actually my mum did because I had no time to do the shopping, thanks mum!!) and I had three different sorts of chocolate sprinkles with me (mini sized packages so cute) and also mini sized jam.

This is not very healthy. It's delicious but for someone that tries to be healthier wouldn't choose this.
Now the fun thing comes: everybody, well almost everybody, baked or bought something healthy. And so, there were almost only healthy things. And of course I tried out a lot of low sugar and healthy snacks and food. I thought it wouldn't taste good because there was no sugar in (most of) the food. But it didn't taste as bad as I expected. I expected things to be dry or something but that wasn't true! I would never choose it myself but now I had to chance to eat this I did! There were oatmeal cupcakes, low sugar sweets (I don’t know exactly what it was. But I liked them!), some kind of special yoghurt with fruit and cupcakes which were filled with olived and feta and more vegetables. I tried almost everything but there was so much I couldn't eat it all. I skipped the special bread, yoghurt (I did eat the fruit though) and the olives cupcakes I tried out in the afternoon when we did round two because there was so much left!

But there was one thing that I deeply hoped I would like but turned out to be so gross. It was a sort of smoothie green drink. It was so green that I thought: I must like this, this is ├╝ber healthy and I always see bloggers and foodies drinking it. So I choose the green drink and drank it. Sadly it was the most disgusting drank I've ever tasted in my mouth. I don't know what it was, but it was definitly not my favourite... There were so much vegetables thrown into that bottle that it didn't really smelled good.
And the thing is: I do like cucumber. Broccoli is not my favourite but I don't hate it. Avocado I eat regularly. ‘Venkel’ I hate. And I love Spinach. I just don’t like it all together in a bottle… (There were more ingredients but I don’t remember them) I quickly grabbed my orange juice and drank that instead. No green drinks for me. :( Although I hoped I would like it just as much as the other healthy cupcakes and stuff.

So that morning was actually my first experience with a lot of super healthy food.
I never ate it because I don’t feel like I have to do it. My motto for food is: The moment my jeans gets a little too tight, I know what time it is: time to think about what I eat and not putting everything that I can eat in my mouth. And I have to move a little more.

I know I like low sugar food, but I'd rather eat a normal cupcake than one stuffed with olives and feta and drink a normal glass of milk instead of a green juice. I just like to watch all the healthy things on Instagram, but for now I won't be eating anything special that has the label 'super' healthy.

Thursday tips #1

Every Thursday I give you tips that I’ve heard of and tried out. I’ve always written them down somewhere and now I’m passing them on to you guys! Enjoy these three tips for today!

Tip 1

Is your new years resolution to sport (more) in 2016. Keep in mind: Don't start like a maniac and tire yourself completely. Sport must be fun, and you should feel better after it. Not worse. Especially at the beginning you shouldn't be to harsh on yourself. Don't start running 10 km. But start with a small round in the neighbourhood. After that run, you'll feel good. You finished you goal. And later on, you can push yourself further. Just keep in mind, don't over-sport yourself. It should be fun. If it's not fun, you'll quit. If it's fun, you'll love what you do and continue doing it!

Tip 2

If you’ve plans for a workout schedule. Make sure you hang the schedule where you can see it every day. And where everybody else can see it. So it’s not only a reminder for you, but when people see the schedule they’ll ask you about it. Just so that you get reminded by it by someone else than just your subconscious. And if you skip a day, people will notice that the day hasn't been crossed out ;)

Tip 3

Maybe a good start for the new year: don’t snooze. It’ll only make the progress of waking up worse. It’s one of the main causes of being late. You keep snoozing and snoozing and suddenly you only have half a hour left to do everything. And it’s just not classy being late. (In my opinion, I hate being late, and I hate snoozing. I was too late once and I never snoozed again...) And what if you miss your exam or your train to work? Coming too late is just a bad habit! Stop it. You'll get less stress.

If you also have tips, or new how to's to get your new years resulotions come true let me know in the comments below!

My 2016 Plan

Happy new year everybody!!!

Today is the first Monday of the year! And I thought, this blogpost is going to be a little informative. I want to tell you my plans for this year. Not that they are huge or anything. I actually have one big plan and the rest stays as how it was, I think. For now. I'm not the best planner in the world...

source: Weheartit

But the big plan is what I’ve been working on for a little while. Every Thursday I want to give you guys three tips. Over the past few weeks I’ve been writing down all my beauty, life experience, organization and random tips. Then I made every week sort of themed. So every Thursday this whole year long you’ll see here 3 tips about anything and everything that I read somewhere and tried out and that actually worked for me. I hope you have something about these tips.
For me it was actually quite nice to have all the tips that I’ve gattered through the years written down and organized. I’ve been going through my diaries, notes and  my brain has worked extra hours because I tried to remember as much as I could.

I’m still not finished for the rest of the year. Only a few weeks are covered now. So I still have to work on it but I’ve got a really good feeling about this! Upcoming Thursday the first tips are going online!! I hope you find tips the tips useful too. And also, you can always post your tips in the comment section. It’s always nice to share! It’ll make this world so much easier!

The other plan is that I’m still trying to post on Monday’s. I know it sometimes sucked in 2015 but this is my one and only new year’s resolution. (I normally don’t have those resolutions. I hate them because I always break them. ALWAYS!) But yeah, this time it is a new year and feel like I really have to do this. And so far so good right?! I didn’t miss this Monday!
