I Donated My Hair!

You guys! I did something awesome a month ago. My hair was really long. And I’ve always said that when I was going to cut it off someday I would donate it. But I’ve been saying that for two years. And every time I reminded myself of this thought I would quickly change my mind and say: "it’s not the right time yet".

And then 3 months ago I was like: alright, one more cut to get rid of split ends and the next cut will be the final one. Chopping off at least 30 cm of hair to donate it to a charity that makes wigs for girls who lost their hair because of cancer or other illness that causes hair loss.
And then, on Monday January 8 I told my mom while eating breakfast: “This afternoon I’m going to cut off my hair”. And I did it. And I was scared. My hair hasn’t been this short since I was around 7 years old when a hair dresser made a disaster haircut. (My hair was so short it was almost like a bowl cut, while I wanted a long bob. HORRIBLE!) After that disaster I never ever cut my hair short. My hair has different lengths of long, but always long.
And now my hair is just on my shoulders. It’s so short I can barely put a pony tail in it… but I’m so happy with how it turned out. I was scared that my super straight hair wouldn’t look great short. But it does! And I’m so happy with this. Not only that my hair is short, but also that I can make a girl happy somewhere to give her a wig. That’s the main point of this.
So, if you have long hair and consider cutting it off. Search for a hair dresser that can donate your braid. It’s such an easy thing to do. Normally charities asks for money, and some people just can’t miss the money. But donating hair is the literally the easiest thing to do. -  Once you are ready to cut off your beautiful long locks - . It took me two years to cut my hair off. So don’t make a hasty choice and regret it later. Make sure you are sure about your cut. We all know hair grows back, but it takes a while. So you really have to be ready. But once your mind is set, it’s the easiest thing to do.

If you want to donate your hair too, take a look at some of these websites. I’ve tried to find as much as I could for you guys, but I don’t speak every language, so if you have a different language than English, German or Dutch, I’m sorry, but you have to google a bit for yourself.
