Funs and Fails 2018

Every year I look back on my funs and fails in my life. And so this year, I’ve made the list again.

I’m not even going to start about planning. I’ve given up. I can’t plan. You just have to keep popping up here occasionally to see if I posted – or not-. No more words needed.

Graduating. I want it so bad. But it’s just not working out the way I want to. I’m procrastinating. I’m hating it. I love the research, I hate the ammount work. The time I’ve sat behind my desk not doing anything is more than anyone can imagine. I try, I really do. I just am not motivated. NOT AT ALL! But I still want to graduate. An internal and eternal battle every morning when I wake up…

There are more funs than fails this year. I’ve tried to be more positive in 2018 and I really did some things I never thought I would be doing, like donating my hair. It’s was so easy yet scary but so good to do. To help some girls and give them a little bit of joy during their battle with cancer. It didn’t cost me much. I was done with my long hair and wanted to cut it off. And what better way than to donate it!

Ice skating: it had been several years since we could skate on natural ice. And suddenly winter came very late in March. It was freezing. And for days we hoped the canals would freeze, but the wind blew it (HAH). Because of the strong winds the waters were moving too much and couldn't freeze up. But one night it was wind still and everything was covered in ice. (I think it happened like the way Elsa stepped on the water near her castle in arendelle) And so we could ice skate on the canals. And that was one of the moments after a dark time that I truly felt happiness. I was with my mom and later with my sister and it is by far the best moment of 2018!

My little garden: this was a fun project. And I know my parents will lend me more ground in the garden in 2019 because they were very excited about it. So I can keep produce my own food and let you know about it as soon as I can plant the seeds!
My first winter sport holiday. Visiting the mountains covered in snow was such a magic moment. seeing it in real life is so different than everything you've seen in documentaries, movies or pictures. When I was on top of the mountains, ready to ski down the slope I was in awe of how beautiful the world is. It felt like I was in Narnia! Winking to my childhood dream to visit Narnia.

Hope you all have the best New Years Eve. Cheers to a new year, full of love, laughter and big and small adventures!

All the love!
